What about those velcro hanger things from 3M? They have a back that sticks well, but doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the walls when you remove it.

Use clear silicone. Hold the letters up with masking tape for 24 hours for the silicone to dry.
Silicone is used for hanging wall mirrors and is very strong. You won’t have to make any holes and when you move, pass a thin scraper behind the letters to remove the silicone.

Drill a small hole in the back side of the letter. Cut a straight pin in half. Hammer into the wall at the appropriate location. Hang the letters on the pin. When moving pull out the pins. The holes will hardly show and can be covered over with a coat of paint.

PLEASE DONT USE THE VELCRO OR STICKIES, i had them in my room holding wooden letters up and they fell down within a couple hours, they are great for lots of things but i dont want you risking that with your baby…
